About the club

Christies Beach SLSC is a medium-sized club on Adelaide’s southern metropolitan coastline. It combines Nippers, youth activities, weekend patrols and a broad surf-sports program, with opportunities for members to contribute through coaching, officiating and administration as well as active lifesaving. The club offers clear pathways for both junior families and adults wanting to become active patrolling members.

Programs and activity times

  • Junior activities: Saturdays 1:00 pm–4:00 pm.
  • Youth: Youth program available for ages 13–18; contact the club for current session details.

Membership and fees

  • New active member 18+ — $180: Patrolling member or member training for SLS Observer, Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion.
  • Social member — $75: For members who want to participate in the club without patrolling.
  • Family membership — $320: 2 adults and all children under 25. SA Sports Vouchers accepted for eligible children up to 18.
  • Under 18 — $220: Ages 5–18, including up to 2 parent/caregiver memberships. SA Sports Vouchers can be used toward the fee.
  • Active Over 50 — $50: Active member holding or training for an SLS award.
  • Please note: 2026/27 fees supplied by the club. Valid SA Sports Vouchers are accepted toward eligible junior membership fees.
