About the club

Brighton SLSC is a large metropolitan club on Adelaide’s southern coastline with regular activity across Nippers, lifesaving, patrolling and surf sports. Its program covers the major surf-sport disciplines and the club has facilities that support both active members and the wider club community. It is well suited to families and members who want access to a broad range of participation pathways.

Programs and activity times

  • Junior activities: Saturdays 2:00 pm–4:00 pm.
  • Youth: Youth program available for ages 13–18; contact the club for current session details.

  • Surf sports: Boards, Beach sprints and flags, Swimming, Ski paddling, Surf boats, Inflatable Rescue Boat racing, Pool rescue.

Membership and fees

  • New active member 18+ — $200: Patrolling member or member training for the Surf Rescue Certificate/Bronze Medallion.
  • Social member — $60: For members who want to participate in the club without patrolling.
  • Family membership — $400: 2 adults and all children under 14.
  • Under 18 — $150–$230: Age 5–6 plus one adult: $150; age 7–12 plus one adult: $230; age 13–18: $200.
  • Please note: 2026/27 fees supplied by the club. Additional competition or program costs may apply.

Visiting the club

The club is open Friday evenings from 5:00 pm and Sundays from 3:00 pm. During the summer Nippers season it is also open on Saturday afternoons.
